One of my earliest memories is standing beside my mom in a darkroom in Ukraine, watching photographs come to life in trays of light and shadow. That quiet magic stayed with me, even when life took me in other directions.
Years later, in 2015, I found my way back to photography in Toronto — working for some of the city’s top photography companies. Those years taught me how to work under pressure, master a variety of high-end styles, and bring out the best in every moment.
From 2018 to 2023, I worked as the head photographer for Neighbours of Ancaster, a lifestyle magazine published by Best Version Media. This experience deepened my love for community storytelling and sharpened my editorial style.
In 2021, I was honored to be named Best Event Photographer by Giggster by Giggster, and in 2023, I was proud to be awarded Best Wedding Photographer in Hamilton by Best for Bride. Today, I’m also the official photographer and videographer for Hoop You Entertainment, capturing everything from corporate events to live performance shows.
Eventually, I poured everything I’d learned into building Alissa Baltazar Photography, a brand focused on cinematic storytelling, emotional connection, and artistic precision. In 2025, I expanded my vision further, assembling a talented team of photographers and videographers who share my dedication to creativity, collaboration, and exceptional client care. Together, we continue to create images and films that couples and clients treasure for a lifetime.
