How It All Started
When I first met Jennifer Turner, we were two passionate creatives making magic in my tiny one-bedroom apartment in Toronto. I had turned my living room into a makeshift studio, juggling up to five flashes at once. She’d arrive with a suitcase full of makeup and big energy—and together we built fashion editorials right there on the hardwood floor.
Back then, it was all about art and expression. Our paths eventually took us in different directions—I moved to Hamilton and then Brantford to focus on wedding photography, and Jennifer dove deeper into wedding makeup. But life had a way of bringing us back together.
Now, she runs Modern Makeup, a thriving mobile makeup company with a team of 45+ professionals, plus a brand-new studio in Richmond Hill. I’m so happy we finally had the chance to reconnect—and that I can share her story with you.
